September is one of the busiest months on the international luxury calendar. The European summer may be winding down, but the social season moves quickly through historic motor racing, Mediterranean yacht shows, the four major fashion capitals, international cinema and elite golf.

Classic Cars and Motorsport
Concours of Elegance
Hampton Court Palace, England | 4–6 September
Hampton Court Palace provides a suitably grand setting for the Concours of Elegance, bringing some of the world’s rarest and most significant cars into the palace grounds alongside specialist dealers, luxury marques and collectors.
Club Concours occupies the East Front lawn, with a private marquee and garden overlooking the cars. The city’s exceptional dining scene adds another dimension, with Arzak, Akelarre and Martín Berasategui among the Michelin-starred restaurants worth securing alongside the screening schedule.
Hotel María Cristina remains the classic festival base and has long hosted visiting film stars and industry figures. A chauffeur is useful for combining central screenings with dinners outside the city centre.
Venice Film Festival
Venice, Italy | 2–12 September
