For nearly three centuries, Moët & Chandon has been the toast of the world’s grandest occasions—flowing freely at royal banquets, glittering premieres, and the legendary soirées of Studio 54. That legacy now finds a spectacular new expression in Knightsbridge, with the unveiling of the Moët & Chandon Bar at Harrods — the maison’s largest standalone destination in Europe.

Set within London’s most iconic department store, this luminous sanctuary invites you to savour life’s golden moments, whether you’re celebrating a milestone or simply pausing for a spontaneous sip beneath a cascade of golden light. It’s Champagne, but elevated to pure theatre.

A Bar Inspired by Épernay

At the heart of the bar is a striking counter, sculpted to reflect the rolling hills of Épernay, the birthplace of Moët & Chandon. Here, guests can sip their way through the maison’s full range of cuvées by the glass. From the ever-popular Moët Impérial to the nuanced Grand Vintage collection, there’s something to suit every palate.

For those who want to explore further, rare vintages are also on offer by the bottle, including the newly launched Collection Impériale Création No. 1. This special blend is crafted using seven different vintages and a variety of ageing techniques.

Vintage lovers are in for a treat with the elegant Grand Vintage 2016 and its Rosé counterpart, both matured for six years, offering finesse and complexity. And for the true collectors, the bar even offers Grand Vintages from 2009 and magnums reaching as far back as 1959, though only in very limited quantities.

A Symphony of Taste and Style

The indulgence doesn’t end with the Champagne. The menu is a perfect harmony of refined French patisserie and savoury bites. Think crab and avocado éclairs, lobster leaves with a miso-yuzu dressing, and a curated board of charcuterie and cheese featuring truffle Brie, Tête de Moine, and Parma ham.

Oyster lovers will be delighted by the options: Carlingford oysters from Ireland and France’s prized Gillardeau variety, both served with a bright raspberry and citrus dressing. They pair beautifully with the Grand Vintage 2016.

And for those partial to caviar, the bar offers Oscietra and Beluga, elegantly presented with blinis and crème fraîche.

Seasonal Highlights & Petite Moët Moments

When the temperature dips, the menu leans into comfort, with sophistication, of course. The smoked salmon and avocado with ponzu dressing is a standout, as is the rich, nutty Cinco Jotas 5J Iberian ham, aged for 36 months. Each dish is matched with a Champagne that complements its flavours. Rosé Impérial, for example, enhances the salmon, while Création No. 1 is divine with lobster.

If you fancy something light, opt for a demi-baguette with butter, roasted nuts, or Nocellara olives, ideal accompaniments for your glass of bubbles.

Art Plus Indulgence: The Pharrell Williams Collaboration

One of the bar’s most exciting collaborations sees Moët & Chandon team up with Pharrell Williams, with limited-edition bottles of Brut Impérial and Nectar Impérial Rosé. These special bottles are paired with desserts crafted by Harrods’ Head Pastry Chef, Alistair Birt.

  • Celebration Cake: Duck egg Victoria sponge with mango-yuzu compote and Madagascan vanilla Swiss buttercream.
  • Joie Éclair: Crisp choux filled with Madagascan vanilla diplomat cream, cherry, and lime compote.
  • Moët Caramel: Salted caramel and milk chocolate mousse on a crunchy biscuit base.

Each sweet has been carefully designed to highlight the Champagne’s vibrant, joyful character.

Champagne Moments, Elevated

For something truly theatrical, the Champagne Pyramid Experience delivers a magnum of Brut Impérial poured down a glittering tower of glasses, served with nine savoury bites and a dessert.

Or go for The Grande Moët Moment — a glass of Brut Impérial paired with 5 food bites: Carlingford Oysters, Crostini Duo, Crab & Avocado Éclair, L’Étoile de Burrata, and the showstopping Moët Caramel dessert.

Fancy sampling a few styles? The tasting flights — like The Discovery or The Elevation — offer three 50ml pours for a more guided journey through the maison’s repertoire.

The Sparkle of Signature Cocktails

In tribute to Champagne cocktail heritage — think Titanic’s Punch Romaine — the bar offers a range of inspired mixes:

  • Tea & Toast: A Harrods-inspired blend with Brut Impérial, Earl Grey distillate, and WhistlePig rye.
  • Golden Margarita: A zesty mix with pineapple and tequila.
  • Champagne Piña Colada: Rum, clarified lime, and Moët Impérial in a tropical twist.

Other standouts include Strawberries & Cream, Boulevard du Soleil, and the Ruby Gimlet, each reimagining Champagne in creative new ways.

Prefer something alcohol-free? The Bloom & Blush and The Golden Orchard offer beautifully crafted, low-alcohol options with a botanical flair.

A Toast to All Occasions

Whether you’re winding down after a day of shopping, catching up with friends over a stylish aperitif, or simply craving a bit of luxury, the Moët & Chandon Bar at Harrods is a destination in its own right. And with unique experiences to win, like the Mini Pyramid Experience, there’s always a reason to raise a glass.

So go on, settle in, soak up the golden glow, and toast to life’s sparkling moments.
